Out of Stock CD Leads to Awkward Exchange.

An out of stock CD at Square Records led to an awkward exchange at the cash register yesterday, as Phillip Barnes came to Square looking to buy a copy of “Zeitgeist” by the Smashing Pumpkins and was told the item was not in stock. “The guy at the counter said he could order it for me…I could order it for me, I have the internet…I just thought they might have a copy here.  Mitch took my copy, so you know I wont be getting that back.”  When questioned about the lack of stock, store proprietor David Ignizio said that the 2007 album was not among his top sellers.  “We have Gish, we have Siamese Dream…we even have that double album with “tonight tonight” on it…but even those haven’t moved in awhile…it honestly never occurred to me to stock that album.”  Ignizio says he has no plans to order the album, but will likely get a copy of “the side project of the asian dude.”  There was no further information on the identity or location of “Mitch” as of press time.
