Pizza War Remains Cold

W Market & S Highland 9:30 AM

The empty space that once housed the ill-fated Two Amigo’s bar/restaurant/Legends of the Hidden Temple Set remains so today.

Despite constant rumorage that an upscale brick-oven-style pizza shop was under construction, nothing concrete is yet to materialize. This New Amigos’s would fill an important void left in Higland Square since the sudden departure of the Latin Margarita-haus. “I really want to impress this girl with a pricey dinner but I don’t have a car so it has to be close to my house […] so she doesn’t realize that i don’t have a car”, said one nervous bystander. He hopes to see some real progress in the construction before Friday evening.

The potential appearance of a third Pizza Themed restaurant within one city block immediately put local authorities on alert* but as of late, this third slice of the pie remains hidden behind papered windows. Perhaps the owners of the new shop are planning a “surprise attack”: a sudden and immediate opening that would leave Capri and Georgio scrambling or maybe the building itself is still suffering from the Mayan curse invited by The Amigo’s. As of this morning, progress remains stagnant and the old “Seating for Two Amigo’s Customers Only” sign flaps sadly on a rusty gate. Waiting -as we all are- for something…
